Another good read...

Since I am not feeling well today, I decided to finally finish the book I borrowed from a friend...oh....4 months ago! Yes, I really have had the book that long! I'm embarrassed to admit it but I've been a little distracted the last few months, lol. Anyway, it's a wonderful book and it makes some wonderful points about not only love, but faith, friendship, patriotism, etc. It was a wonderful story and I highly recommend it. Be prepared to sob like a baby though...have tissues ready towards the end (you've been warned!)!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Even now...

A good friend of mine let me borrow a book this week by Karen Kingsbury called "Even Now". It was a beautiful story. I highly recommend it! I have to say I think I like it even better than Nicholas Sparks' books for the simple reason that the language and sensuality aren't in her book. Nicholas Sparks, while a fantastic writer, puts a little too much of that in his stories. I wouldn't let my teenager read them...but this one I would.

The Choice...

I finished another great book last night. I hadn't been reading much lately because my attention span has been very small the last couple of weeks. The Last Song is still my favorite, but this one is definitely a great story as well! :0)

The Last Song...

I loved this story! I'm so glad I read the book first before the movie comes out! I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite!

One of my favorite things ever....

By now it's no secret that I adore books...all kinds...and one of my favorite gifts I've ever been given was a book. It was a Christmas gift from my parents one year (my dad had picked it out). I have always been fascinated with William Shakespeares work. I was probably one of the few people sitting in English class really into what we were reading....and when I took drama and we'd go over the plays...LOVED it (not that I'm in any way actress material...I'd rather do the watching quite frankly) it was just the environment that I loved. Anyway, the book is a complete collection of Shakespeares work. It's called "The Globe" it is wrapped in leather (ish) material, illustrated, looks old and is simply fabulous! Now I know that it's not all about material things, quite the opposite....but if anything ever happened to this book...I would be very sad! So, thanks Dad for picking out this gift for me...years and years ago!
