I've been searching for diaper bags for a while now (well, pretty much since I found out I was pregnant). I hadn't really been able to find one that I LOVE....they were either too expensive, too small, not neutral enough, had bad reviews, or a combination of these things. It was to the point where I thought I was going to have to make one. Which under different circumstance would be just fine, but sometimes I take on more than I can handle...and I still have a lot of projects to tackle. Not to mention I'm still learning to sew...pillow cases are pretty simple, but to attempt a quality diaper bag....that's a bit more advanced than I think my skills are.
Then the other day I found this beauty! The pattern is lovely, reviews are good, the price is great and it supposedly is larger than the picture makes it look...with out qualifying as a suit case. I've seen some so small you wonder how you'll fit everything in them and some so large you wonder how am I going to carry this diaper bad and an infant????
Anyone else have these troubles with diaper bags? ;0)
I too started searching when I got preggo, ha!
ReplyDeleteI found one that my hubby and I could finally agree on both carrying. It's an OiOi brand black and gray with blue accents. I got it int he mail yesterday actually, love it!!!
This one you found is super cute!!
I actually registered for two diaper bags... one that I could carry all the time that looks like a purse- https://www.target.com/gp/detail.html?asin=B002U1G3NK&colid=13R7IQ9RS0AA&coliid=IUD61JZZKTY9H&bckreg=baby
ReplyDeleteand one a little more neutral to have as an additional bag that the husband wouldn't mind carrying...
:)
After being a nanny for 8 years and watching 3 kiddos grow up, I started when they were 3 and 1 and now they are 10, 8, and 5, I've carried many a diaper bag!
ReplyDeleteI think diaper bags are great for the first couple of months when you need many things to get through an outing, but after that carrying something like the skip hop pronto is great for just throwing in your purse with a diaper and wipes. That being said, we also kept a small tupperware container in the car with extra diapers, wipes, clothes, etc. so I didn't have to carry it around all the time. They get heavy!
I love, love, love the one you picked out and can't wait to meet the little one you've waited so long for!
