Ok...so at nearly six weeks (this Friday) it's probably more bloating than baby but I figured I'd post the before pic for memories anyway. I definitely feel my clothes fitting differently and the other night before we even knew that we were pregnant Josh made a comment ...."honey, you must be really full!" Yes...he's a goober sometimes, but I love him dearly and he doesn't mean for these things to come out the way they do, lol....but they do! Thank GOD I know he doesn't mean them "that way"...lol. He felt really bad after I gave him "the look" and we both had a good laugh about it once we realized why I had looked so "full".
What's so strange to me is that up until about a week ago I wasn't having any symptoms at all. So far I've been fortunate enough not to have morning sickness (PLEASE GOD LET IT STAY THAT WAY!) I've mostly just felt extremely tired...but can't seem to sleep at night, crampy, emotional....had headaches, bloating (I guess...but what do I know...maybe it's all in my head) of course the boobs were sooooo very sore! Oh yeah...and I feel like I have to pee like every 15 minutes!
According to the research I've done online....baby has a heartbeat, eyes, ears and brain/nervous system are forming. It's crazy to think what's going on in there!!!
You are so adorable!! My nausea started in at about 6 weeks & at a little over 12 weeks, I still have it. I really hope you're spared the worst of it, but if you do, it is a good sign. I read that women who have nausea are less likely to miscarry and more likely to carry the baby full term. I try to remember that when none of my food is staying down. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI still scour the internet and my pregnancy books every day to find out what's going on inside. It's purely miraculous to know that by the end of the first trimester, there is a fully-formed human being inside there -- all that is left is to mature and grow!!
I'm so incredibly excited for the little one growing inside of you!! What a blessing, and how fun that we get to go through this together ... well, through blogging anyway. :o)
Blessings to you!!
Aww, so much happening already - how neat! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh you are so thin!! I wish I looked that good :)
ReplyDeletegirl, you better get ready to do some growing! : ) you are teeny tiny! it's such a beautiful miracle to read about all that is developing already. amazing! life is such a gift! i'm so beyond excited for you!
ReplyDeleteIt is possible to have no morning sickness. I didn't! Tired and emotional is very normal. There were times I felt like crying for absolutely no reason. Take lots of vitamin C. God has designed our bodies to lower our immunity during pregnancy so our bodies will not fight the baby growing inside. Thanks for posting the "belly shot"! I can't wait to watch it grow!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a little bitty thing - so cute! Hopefully, you won't have ANY morning sickness and can just concentrate on loving that little one!
